Content publishers who monetize their blogs with Google's AdSense product will no longer have access to their metrics on the fly – at least via Android or iOS app.
Google has announced their plans to deprecate their current mobile apps and remove them entirely from both the Google PlayStore and iOS AppStore by the end of 2019.
“By investing in a common web application that supports all platforms, we will be able to deliver AdSense features optimized for mobile much faster than we can today.” Andrew Gildfind, AdSense Product Manager
Google's ultimate goal is to optimize their mobile browser experience for all AdSense report users rendering the apps meaningless. A unified approach does make more sense as opposed to having to support native apps for multiple platforms.
Later this year, Google is expected to announce more details about the improved mobile interface and official drop dead dates for the Android and iOS apps.
No further information is available at this time but we will be updating this post for the convenience of our readers as we are fed more details.
