Why a Windows 10 Tablet? Is the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 the Best Available?
While Android and iOS are fantastic options, they aren’t really optimized to give you the full desktop workspace experience. They're manufactured to be touch-friendly devices aimed at multi-media entertainment purposes and a little light work on the side while on the go. Windows 10 tablets, on the other hand, have been designed to give you the best of both worlds. Windows 10 includes both a tablet and a desktop interface all in one sleek operating system. That means that if you need a more productivity geared interface to get some real work done, you've got it with your Windows 10 tablet.
“Epic battery life. Great strides with the keyboard. Solid performance and good usability, all in a fanless design.” – Wired Magazine
A top-notch Windows 10 tablet can be a true laptop/desktop replacement for most people. The power to handle all you need in a portable package. The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 Tablet PC is the best of the best today and at rockbottom prices on Amazon, it is an absolute steal.
What's New in the 2018 Microsoft Surface Pro 6?
Realy there are only a couple new notable upgrades from the 5th Gen 2017 Surface Pro:
- New Intel 8th Gen Quad-Core Processors – the new quad-core (up from dual-core) processors from Intel mean a big bump in performance. The Intel Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8650U do make a difference.
- And a New Color Scheme – an all black version which is sharp looking.
The 2018 Surface Pro 6 entry-level model is currently on sale at Amazon, offers double the RAM (4GB to 8GB) and jumps to a stronger Core i5 processor as opposed to the 2017 model. This base model still comes with 128GB of storage but is $100 cheaper than last year's similar configuration, which was $999. Likewise, all the new configurations are $100 cheaper than the 2017 5th Gen Surface Pro options.

If you're in the market for a true laptop/desktop replacement that travels well, then look no further. Add the Surface Pro Pen and the Surface Pro Keyboard Cover and you're set.
The only downsides for us were the lack of a USB Type-C port and the downgrade from Windows 10 Pro to the Home version. Other than that, we couldn't ask for anything more at the pricepoint.
