Instagram has updated their Explore feature to now include other user's stories in addition to their regular feed images and videos.
“To help people experience the full breadth of interest content on Instagram, the redesigned Explore grid will now feature Stories. In the same way that Explore recommends posts based on topics you’re interested in, the grid will now provide you with personalized Stories recommendations.”
The Explore page is an easy way for users to discover content outside of whom they are already following. It is a curated feed of interesting and relevant content. Now IG Stories will be featured here as well.
Explore now provides IGTV and Shopping shortcuts as well as suggested content topics allowing you to easily find recommended images, videos, products, users, etc.
This is just another way people are able to expand their horizons beyond those accounts they already follow.
Instagram confirms that 50% of its daily users already make use of the Explore feature and that number is expected to jump based on these changes.
